Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it must include all key nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins. Breakfast burritos are extremely popular in the United States as more and more people want to eat healthy and wholesome food  for breakfast. Since, burritos are easy to make and easy to eat they make for a good breakfast item.

Moreover, you can add many healthy ingredients and do away with un-healthy stuffings to make a customized nutritive burrito. Though breakfast burritos are widely eaten, many people load it with unhealthy items such as bacon, cheese, etc. However, you can make a super healthy burrito using the recipe and the stuffing ideas discussed in this article.

Super Healthy Breakfast Burrito:

To make this healthy breakfast burrito, you will need whole wheat or multi-grain tortillas. Such tortillas are easily available in most grocery stores these days.

There are subtle modifications to other ingredients in this recipe which increases its nutritive value. We are adding many veggies and replacing cheese with other healthier options.

To make the burrito stuffing, take a little olive oil in a sauce pan. To this add chopped bell peppers, corn, chopped green onions, little crushed garlic, salt and pepper. Sauté the veggies till they are lightly done. Creditstar préstamos de hasta 1.000 euros en 15 minutos

Now, add grated tofu to this veggie mix.  Sauté till there is no moisture left in the tofu. We are using tofu in place of cheese. Tofu will give the same texture as cheese, but is low in fat and high in protein.

Now, place the tortilla on a warm skillet. Break two eggs and pour them on the tortilla, allowing them to cook. Once the eggs have cooked, remove the tortilla from the pan.

To assemble the burrito, spread a little salsa on the tortilla. To make it healthier, you could also use guacamole made from fresh avocados. After this, place the prepared veggie-tofu mix on the tortilla. Top off with some raw veggies such as sliced tomatoes, lettuce or cucumbers. Finally, add a dollop of low-fat sour cream and roll your breakfast burrito.

You could also add lean meat such as grilled chicken breasts or turkey meat to your breakfast burrito.
