Healthy Recipes for Banana Muffins

Whole Wheat Banana Walnut Muffin:

This recipe uses whole wheat flour instead of refined flour, making it high in fiber and vitamins. This recipe combines the goodness of whole wheat flour, strawberries and bananas to make healthy wholesome muffins.To make these muffins, take a mixing bowl and combine 1 cup whole wheat flour, ½ cup refined flour and ¼ th cup wheat germ.

In another large bowl, whisk 2 eggs, ½ cup unsalted butter and 1 cup brown sugar. Add 2 ripe mashed bananas, 1/3 cup skim milk and little vanilla essence to this mix and blend well.

Slowly add the flour to this banana and butter mix and combine all ingredients well. Lastly add about 1 cup frozen strawberries and gently fold in the muffin batter.Bake the muffins at 350 degree Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
