Ingredients

Whole grain bread slices

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

1/4th cup grated cheddar cheese

1/4th cup finely chopped bell peppers

Few mushrooms finely sliced

1 cup Fresh tomato puree

Salt to taste

Freshly ground black pepper

2 cloves garlic freshly minced

1 spoon crushed dried oregano

1 spoon crushed dried basil

1 spoon crushed dried thyme

2-3 spoons tomato ketchup

1/4th cup chopped onions

1 spoon crushed paprika flakes

2-3 spoons olive oil


Method

Begin making bread pizza by preparing the pizza sauce. For this take olive oil in a pan and add the chopped onions to it. Sauté the onions till they turn slightly translucent. The onions must only turn slightly pink but should not become brown. If your onions get browned your pizza sauce will taste bitter. Disfraces para niños y adultos

Add the freshly minced garlic and sauté it with the onions. Next add the fresh tomato puree and let it simmer for some time with the onions. Add salt and freshly ground black pepper. Add the crushed oregano, basil and thyme and let it simmer with the tomato puree for few seconds. Next the tomato ketchup and crushed paprika flakes to the sauce. You can also add shredded fresh herbs such as fresh basil leaves for added flavor. Remove from stove and allow the pizza sauce to cool.

To prepare the bread pizza, take the bread slices and trim the edges. Spread the prepared pizza sauce liberally all over the bread slice. Top with the chopped bell peppers and sliced mushrooms. You can add other veggies of your choice such as zucchini, tomato, jalapenos, olives, artichokes, etc. You can also add shredded chicken or turkey to make this bread pizza more exotic. Leftovers from grilled chicken or turkey makes perfect topping for bread pizza.



Top the bread pizza with shredded mozzarella cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. You can also use ready-to-use cheese slices. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit. Place the prepared bread pizza slices on a baking tray. Place the baking tray in the oven and bake till the cheese melts and the bread turns crisp. This should take 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve warm. Bread pizza goes great with potato chips or nachos. Any fruit cocktail will make a great accompaniment to this tasty and delicious bread pizza.
